OUR STORY

I was struggling financially and almost couldn’t afford to train — or give my son that same opportunity. Someone opened up a spot on the mat for us, and it changed everything.

That’s when it hit me: I can’t be the only one who almost had to say no because of money.

I’m Justin Batara — a San Diego husband, father, mechanic, and aspiring author. I built Roll Model Project because jiu-jitsu gave my family something money couldn’t buy: character, discipline, and community. And I decided every kid deserves access to that — regardless of what their parents can afford.

RMP partners with local gyms to sponsor youth who can’t afford training. The gym keeps full revenue. The family pays nothing. And the kid gets an opportunity to train Jiujistu.

Every kid deserves a spot on the mat.
